Gaborone Game Reserve
Gaborone Game Reserve, established in 1988 by the Kalahari Conservation Society, is a protected area near Gaborone, the capital of Botswana. Spanning approximately 5 square kilometers, the reserve offers a unique opportunity to experience Botswana’s wildlife in a natural and accessible setting.
Wildlife and Activities
Visitors can observe a variety of animals, including:
- Antelope species: Kudu, Gemsbok, Impala, Wildebeest, Bushbuck, and Eland.
- Other animals: Zebra, Ostrich, Warthog.
- Birdlife: An abundant variety, including kingfishers and hornbills.
The reserve also features picnic areas, a game hide, and a small visitor-education center.
