Northside English Medium (Primary School)
Northside Primary School, located in Gaborone, Botswana, was established in 1974 through funding from British Overseas Aid and was initially administered by the Botswana Government. Shortly after its founding, the school transitioned into a private, independent institution that now offers a high-quality primary education for children from Reception to Standard 7. With a diverse student body representing numerous nationalities, Northside has become one of Botswana’s most respected elementary schools. It follows an international curriculum enriched with local educational values, fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students aged approximately 4 to 13 years.
The school emphasizes an inquiry-based approach to learning, promoting curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration. With modern classrooms, a science laboratory, ICT suites, a library, and well-equipped sports facilities, Northside provides a balanced education that supports both academic excellence and holistic development. Specialist teachers guide learners in areas such as Setswana, music, physical education, and remedial instruction, while a wide range of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, drama, and choir, encourages student engagement beyond the classroom. Northside Primary School remains committed to nurturing globally minded, confident learners prepared for future academic and life challenges.
