Kgolagano College of Theological Education
Kgolagano College is Botswana’s only ecumenical learning institution, established in 1975 to provide theological education and training for its member churches. Serving a diverse range of stakeholders, the college collaborates with mainline churches, numerous African Independent Churches, and various Christian organizations, reflecting its inclusive and interdenominational approach.
The college offers a broad and relevant curriculum designed to address pressing societal challenges. Key areas of focus include HIV/AIDS education, children’s ministry and preschool education, and pastoral counseling, equipping students to serve their communities with practical and impactful skills. Kgolagano College provides certificate and diploma programs in Theology through distance learning, complemented by a variety of short residential courses tailored for lay leaders.
Graduates of Kgolagano College play critical roles in their churches and communities, serving as priests, deacons, lay priests, Sunday School teachers, and church leaders. The majority of the students are supported by member churches, highlighting the collaborative spirit of the institution.
