Block Seven Community Fitness Park
The Public Outdoor Gym in Gaborone, Botswana, known as the Block Seven Community Fitness Park, is a pioneering initiative aimed at promoting health, fitness, and community engagement. Designed as a free and accessible facility, it allows residents from Gaborone and nearby areas such as Mogoditshane and Broadhurst to exercise outdoors using simple, bodyweight-based gym equipment. The gym encourages social fitness activities, including aerobics, resistance training, and street workouts, with volunteer instructors guiding daily sessions. Beyond physical exercise, the gym also offers health monitoring, such as weight and Body Mass Index assessments, fostering overall wellness.
