The World Health Organization (WHO) in Botswana is the United Nations specialised agency for health that works with the Government of Botswana and partners to strengthen the national health system, provide technical leadership and policy guidance, prevent and control communicable and non-communicable diseases, support health emergency preparedness and response, promote universal health coverage and equitable access to quality health services, and improve health data, surveillance, and evidence-based decision-making in line with national priorities and the health-related Sustainable Development Goals.
