The Association of Consulting Engineers Botswana (ACEB) is a non-profit professional body that represents and promotes the interests of the consulting engineering sector in Botswana. Established to advance the profession and enhance the collective voice of consulting engineers, ACEB plays a key role in shaping the industry’s contribution to national development and infrastructure growth.
ACEB’s vision is to be the recognised voice of the consulting engineering industry in Botswana, while its missionfocuses on improving the business environment and guiding the consulting community through the promotion of superior knowledge, skills, and innovation for the benefit of the nation. To achieve its objectives, ACEB advocates on behalf of members, influences policies and standards that affect the profession, and fosters partnerships within both national and international engineering communities. It also provides professional development opportunities, access to industry information and resources, and platforms for collaboration among consulting firms.
ACEB holds full membership in FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers), which connects it to global engineering networks and best practices. Through events like the Engineering Excellence Awards, ACEB highlights outstanding achievements in engineering design and project delivery across Botswana. Based in Gaborone, ACEB supports its members in contributing to critical sectors such as transportation, water and sanitation, energy, buildings, and environmental infrastructure strengthening the role of consulting engineers as essential partners in Botswana’s sustainable development.
