First Mutual Health operates in Botswana as a health insurance and medical aid provider. It is owned by First Mutual Holdings Limited, a financial services group with a regional presence. The company plans to launch business development operations in the second half of 2025, following the acquisition of its operating license earlier that year.
The expansion into Botswana is part of First Mutual Holdings’ broader strategy to extend its reach within the SADC region and beyond. Although specific health services for Botswana are still being developed, First Mutual Health has an established history of providing medical aid insurance and has also introduced its own integrated health facilities in other parts of the region.
